Tranquility abounds with an overnight SUP camping trip down the River Thames — in the middle of the United Kingdom’s heat wave.
Stevie Wyatt really loves the River Thames. The Brit’s first YouTube videos involved a multiday kayaking trip down the entire river, filmed mostly with his phone.
His latest video follows his first attempt to make an easy, one-night camping trip using a standup paddleboard. With just a hammock, a simple cook set, and a poncho for a sleeping bag, Wyatt finds a way to beat the heat as the UK faces record-high temperatures.
“I’m still a complete novice with the stand-up paddle thing,” Wyatt says. “There’s a different perspective from kayaking. It’s a different pace.”
